LESLIE GRACE REVEALS 'BATGIRL' COSTUME FIRST LOOK

BATGIRL FAN? CHECK OUT INTERVIEW WITH THE CREATORS of DC’S LATEST COMIC VERSION, BATGIRLS RIGHT HERE!

Batgirl star Leslie Grace has revealed the first look at the character’s costume in an Instagram post yesterday.

The ‘In The Heights’ actor can be seen wearing in the suit in the atmospheric image below.

The costume is both a nod to the costume Yvonne Craig wore as the character in the ‘60s Batman show and the redesign for the ‘Batgirl of Burnside’ run. Grace added a quote from Batgirl: Year One, by Chuck Dixon, Scott Beatty, Marcos Martin, Alvaro Lopez, Jarvier Rodriguez and Willie Schubert:

“I use their expectations against them. That will be their weakness. Not mine. Let them all underestimate me…

And when their guard is down, and their pride is rising, let me kick their butts.”

This is the first chance we’ve had to see Grace in costume. There have been several leaks from the set showing Grace and co-star Ethan Kai who is thought to be playing Jason Bard.

The leaks have also suggested the film will feature Hugo Strange as well as the already announced Firefly (who features heavily in Batgirl: Year One).

We’ll have more on the movie, written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey) and directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah which arrives on screen and on HBO Max later in 2022, as it develops.
