DC Comics will launch ‘I Am Batman’ in September - with writer John Ridley and artist Olivier Copiel at the helm! As reported by Bleeding Cool, the title will spin-out of Ridley and Travel Foreman’s I Am Batman #0 which will appear in August as part of the Batman event, Fear State.
Ridley has proven to be a hit with his Future State Batman books and Coipel’s art is always a thrill - although it is a shame to know this means he won’t be drawing the next phase of The Magic Order, his creator-owned series with writer Mark Millar.
DC haven’t offered any details beyond announcing the two main members of the creative team, but are intending to reveal more in the September issue of DC Connect, which will be available a s a print magazine for the first time in over a year. We’ll have more as it happens.
